Problem Statement
Build a compact, distinctive PCB with a non-rectangular heart outline while keeping a practical power and MCU stack — USB-C in, regulated 3.3 V, and an ATtiny402 — then present it interactively on the portfolio.
Design Goals
- Heart-shaped board geometry in KiCad
- USB-C power path with 3.3 V regulation
- ATtiny402 as the onboard MCU
- Export a browser-compatible GLB for the Three.js viewer
Hardware Design
Designed in KiCad (heart.kicad_sch / heart.kicad_pcb).
Main parts:
- ATtiny402-SS microcontroller
- USB-C receptacle (USB 2.0, 16P)
- AP2112K-3.3 linear regulator
- Decoupling / bulk caps, resistors, LED(s), SPST switch, and a 1×3 connector
The interactive 3D model is embedded on this project page.
Results
The GLB export loads in the interactive viewer with rotate, zoom, and pan controls.
Future Improvements
- Add assembled-board photos and bring-up notes
- Publish firmware details for the ATtiny402
- Refine GLB materials to better match copper/silk
